Technology is wonderful but I've had quite enough of it for a little while, thank you very much. I've been trying to add details of Discord's Shadow to Goodreads and the cover won't upload. I've tried everything I can think of without success, although I had no problems uploading it anywhere else, so I've had to ask the Librarians for help. They're very good, and I'm sure they'll manage it straight away, but to escape the frustration I've turned to the latest Third Flatiron anthology, Things With Feathers: Stories of Hope, edited by Juliana Rew.
As usual, I intended only reading one or two of the twenty-plus stories, but I read the whole anthology instead. There was not a dud amongst them. I particularly enjoyed the imagery of 'The Sorcerer's Appendix' by Sharon Diane King, the beautifully written 'The Ones Who Made the Crossing' by F.T. Berner, and the concept of Wulf Moon's 'Sophie's Parisian Stationery and Parfumerie Magnifique'.
Now I've had a chance to enjoy some imaginative, thought-provoking fiction, I feel I can face the irritations of the digital world again, and venture 'once more into the breach'. Visit http://www.thirdflatiron.com to download your own escape.
